For over 80 years, BMH Books served as the publishing arm of the Brethren Missionary Herald Company, the media company of the Charis Fellowship (Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches), a family of churches in North America that is committed to biblical truth, biblical relationships, and biblical mission.

Founded in 1940, the activities of the Brethren Missionary Herald Company historically have been the publication of a denominational news publication, supplying church resources through retail outlets, and the publishing of various books and resources.

In 2021, BMH Books merged into and under the Charis Fellowship and began restructuring its publishing activities to focus more on providing resources to serve Charis Fellowship churches. Books and eBooks that have been published by BMH are available on Amazon or through Baker & Taylor.
